Pruning Compound
DESCRIPTION
Pruning Compound is a mineral filled emulsion of a refined grade of bitumen which contains rubber latex. It requires no heating and the contents need only be stirred with a flat paddle if kept in stock for a long time.
TYPICAL USES
Pruning Compound is specially prepared as a wound protectant for use in pruning of fruit trees, shade trees, roses and shrubs. Pruning Compound protects against dieback due to the following:
Decidious fruits Soft-wood rot (Polyporus hirsutus, P. Versicolor, P. adjustus).
Silverlead (Stereum purpureum).
Bacterial canker (Pseudomonas syringae).
Eutype dieback in apricots.
Vines Dying-arm disease (tandpyn).
Roses Stem canker and dieback
Shrubs Stemrot and dieback
Trees Stemrot (Polyporus sulphureus ) in oaks and other trees.
Pruning Compound also shows good effect against bacterial spot (Xanthomonas pruni).
Pruntect Pruning Compound
DESCRIPTION
PRUNTECT Pruning Compound is a protectant compound made from bitumen emulsion and acrylic polymers.It also contains rubber latex and is modified with mineral fillers. It incorporates an active ingredient to assist in combating die-back and other diseases. It requires no heating and the contents need only be stirred with a flat paddle if kept in stock for a long time.
SPECIAL CHARACTERISTICS
PRUNTECT Pruning Compound contains rubber latex which imparts considerable elasticity to the dried film. This compound is scientifically formulated for easy application, resulting in a tough, flexible, highly waterproof seal. The acrylic ingredient causes rapid skin formation once the product is applied. The applied film will not flow.
This product is registered with the Department of Agriculture under Registration No. L5492 and contains CAPTAN as an active ingredient
Grafting Compound

Grafting wax for the promotion of callus formation and the development of sound disease-free grafts in grapevines. Registered with the Department of Agriculture as an agricultural remedy. Registration No. L 6489.
